Carl C. Oldenburg AIA founded Oldenburg Architecture after working for several years in large and medium-sized architecture firms in Boston and Cambridge. Born in Texas and raised in Northern California, Carl received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of California at Berkeley, and a Masters Degree in Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
In addition to running Oldenburg Architecture, Carl serves on the Permanent Building Committee in Lexington, Massachusetts, previously served for ten years on the Lexington Historic Districts Commission and was formerly chairman of the Lexington Design Advisory Committee. He was founding co-chair of the Lexington Center Collaborative, a group focused on the design and vitality of Lexington Center. He has taught architecture and structural design at the Harvard Graduate School of Design Career Discovery Program, and is an active member of the American Woodworking Institute, the American Institute of Architects and the Boston Society of Architects. Carl has architectural registration in California, Massachusetts, Connecticut and New York.
